In Howard’s Preschool Promise classroom, teaching staff partner with families to create a  nurturing and culturally responsive educational experience. Learning is grounded in relationships and grows from a shared understanding of fluid developmental needs and stages. We believe families are a child’s first teacher, and work actively to create opportunities for family involvement within the classroom, enriched learning environments, and broadening experiences of community to ensure our classroom is reflective of the home cultures of the students in our room each year. These efforts are intended to build a learning environment that feels relevant and safe for all our students to learn and grow and feel a sense of belonging.
